Congratulations Rick Drake! Rick shot his second perfect game on Monday, April 15th, during the University Plaza Men’s league held at Mardi Gras Lanes.  Rick shot this 300 game with his Motiv Ascent.  His first 300 game was thrown on 11/04/11, using his Motiv Raptor ball.  Rick is currently averaging 207 this season in the league.   Great way to end the season Rick!!! Good Luck next season!!

 
   

Congratulations to Mason Hayward!!! Mason bowled his 1st 300 game during the Balls On Our Wood league at the Huskies Den on March 27th.  He bowled it with his Storm Marvel, and his league average is currently 182.  He started bowling 12 years ago at a local bowling center in Anna, Illinois.  After bowling only a few years, the roof of the bowling center collapsed and Mason had to put his bowling endeavors on hold.  He picked the sport back up three years ago after a six year break.  Mason is also an NIU Physics major! Great job on your first honor score, and good luck in your future endeavors!

 
     

Congratulations to Elijah Hanson!  Elijah bowled his 1st sanctioned 300 game during the Tuesday night Business & Professional league, held at Mardi Gras Lanes, on March, 19, 2013.  Elijah is currently bowling on his first year out of high school, and is currently averaging  189 on the B & P league. He shot his perfect game using his Motiv Q22.  Not only was this Elijah’s first 300 game, it was also his Golden Birthday! What a wonderful birthday present.  Please join me in congratulating Elijah on this and many more honor scores to come!!!

 
     
     

Congratulations to Brad Royalty!  Brad bowled his 3rd sanctioned 300 game during the 79th Annual Open Tournament, which took place at Mardi Gras Lanes, on January, 26, 2013.  Brad shot this 300 game with a Brunswick-Monster Frenzy.  He is currently a member of the Wednesday Business League, held at Four Season Sports, where he averages 211. Along with his 300 game, Brad also bowled a 235 and 256, for a 791 Series!!  This was the 1st perfect game bowled during the Tournament, which is held January 26th thru February 3rd.  Great bowling, Brad!

 
     

Kolberg reaches perfection!

 

Brian Kolberg has reached perfection! Brian, who bowls in the Bud Light Thursday Night Men’s league at Mardi Gras Lanes, bowled this first perfect game on 12/13/2012 during his first game.  He combined the game with a 258 and 183 for a 741 series!  Brian’s 300 game was thrown with a Storm Domination.  Brian is the General Manager of Mardi Gras Lanes, and is also a League Secretary for many leagues held at Mardi Gras Lanes.     Congratulations Brian!!

     

Tony O'Donnell was feeling good about bowling before he even started on the Wednesday Night Business League at Four Seasons on 12-12-12.  Being the jokester that he is, he said he felt a 900 coming on!  Obviously, he went to the lanes feeling pretty confident as he pulled out his NITRO and started striking.  Starting off with a 300 game, he followed that up with games of 264 and 267 for an 831 Series.  He has taken over the top of the Honor Board, setting the bar pretty high!  This is not only the high of the season, but the high series of 35 years at Four Seasons!   Congratulations, Tony!

 
     

Congratulations to Jeremy Wilkerson for bowling another perfect game. Bowling in the Monday Night University Plaza Men’s at Mardi Gras Lanes on 12/03/12, he combined the game with a 208 and 192 for a 700 series.  The 300 game was thrown with a RotoGrip Nomad Pearl.  This makes Jeremy’s 5th sanctioned 300 game, and first for the Season! Good Luck this season Jeremy!

 
     

Congratulations to David Westlake, who bowled a 300 game on his way to an 824 series on November 30, 2012! David was throwing a Total Inferno when he bowled what was his 10th 300 game and his second 800 series. He was bowling in the Friday Night Mixed League at Four Seasons Sports, where he was averaging 206. David said he always dreamed of having a 300 game and an 800 series on the same night. Congratulations David - you made it happen!

     

Congratulations to Eric Cote!  Eric bowled his 300 game during the Business & Professional League held at Mardi Gras Lanes, on November 6, 2012.  Eric shot this 300 game with a DV8 Hellraiser Revenge. Along with his 300 game, Eric also bowled a 193 and 214, for a 707 Series!!  Keep Striking Eric!

 

Congratulations to Karl Dyer on an 800 series during the Friday Night Mixed League at Mardi Gras Lanes, on 10/26/12!!  Karl shot, lights out - a 288, 254 and a 258 game to bring home his 3rd USBC award ring.  This is Karl’s first 800 series bowling with the DeKalb USBC, but Karl has 3 sanctioned 800’s under his belt.

 
     

Tony Jovanovich has reached perfection for the 2nd time this season! Tony bowled another perfect 300 game on 10/11/12 during the Thursday night Phil Johnson league @ Mardi Gras Lanes, on this same evening, Tony also bowled a 290 and 226, for an 816 Series!!!  Tony bowled this perfect game with a Storm Virtual Gravity Nano.  Tony has now added an 11th perfect game to his arsenal as well as 5 - 800 series games!!

 
     

Congratulations to Joseph Barrile on his 1st 300 of the Season! Joseph bowled a perfect game on Friday, October 12, 2012 during the Friday Night Mixed League held at Four Season Sports, where Joe is currently averaging 218. Along with his 300 game, Joe also bowled a 235 and 237, for a 772 Series!This makes Joe's 3rd perfect game, which was bowled with a Storm Vertigo. Great Job Joe!

 
     
 

BREAKING NEWS……..DOUBLE 300 ALERT!!!! 

Bruce Seldal has bowled NOT one, but TWO Perfect “300” games and an 801 series on 09/19/12! Games 1 and 2 were his perfect games, bring his total number of 300 games bowled to 8. His 801 series is his second series of 800+. Bruce bowled his back-to-back 300 games with his ten year old Storm X-Factor. Congratulations Bruce!

 
     
 

Things are heating up !!!! Please join me in congratulating Ryan Ferguson on his "300" game - bowled during the 3rd game on 09/13/12 in the Miller Lite Phil Johnson Classic league at Mardi Gras Lanes. Ryan bowled a 191, 235 and then his perfect game- bowled with a Motive Raptor. Ryan bowled a 726 series!!! Congrats Ryan!

FIRST 300 OF THE SEASON!!!!!

DAUSBC would like to extend congratulations to Bob Haberkorn, Jr., of the Tuesday night Business & Professional league held at Mardi Gras Lanes. Bob shot a 300 during his 3rd game on 08/28/2012, as well as a 219 and 258!!   An AMF Mega Recovery was used to bowl the first perfect game of the 2012-13 season!

Congrats to Merlin Jetton who bowled a 300 game at Mardi Gras Lanes in the Bud Light Thursday Men's League on 4/12/12.  Merlin, with his Brunswick Absolute Inferno, bowled a 200, his perfect game, and a 201 for a 701 Series.  Merlin has averaged a 200 this season in the league.    A great way to close out the season!

The early warm Spring weather has been welcomed with open arms here in the DeKalb area in 2012.  Two DAUSBC bowlers, during the Business and Professional league, decided to bring some of that warmth into Mardi Gras Lanes and heat things up on Tuesday, April 3rd. 

Jim Jamison, with his DVH Hellraiser Revenge, bowled a 300, 233 and a 263 for a total series of 796.  Jim maintains an average of 217 in the league this season.  The perfect game, bowled on lanes 11-12,  was Jim's 4th in his bowling career.  Jim is also a member of the Four Season Sports Wednesday Night Business league as well as Mardi Gras' Thursday night Bud Light league. 

Following Jamison, about 5 minutes later the same night, Karl Dyer, on lanes 13-14, bowled his 5th career 300.  Karl maintains an average of 214 in the B&P league and bowled perfection with his Columbia Dark Encounter.  Along with bowling in the B&P league, Dyer is a member of the Friday Night Mixed league at Mardi Gras Lanes.     

Congrats to both bowlers on your accomplishments!

     
 

Congrats to Anthony Jovanovich! Anthony owned the lanes during the doubles and singles event of the DeKalb USBC tournament held at Four Seasons sports, on 1/21/12.  Jovanovich began the day with a 248, 215, and a 290 for a 753 series for his Singles event.  During doubles, Anthony shot a 236, 198 and perfection (300) for a 734 series.   The perfect game was Jovanovich's second of the 2011-12 season.  The first was thrown in December during the B&P league.

     
 

Rhonda Maciejewski reaches the elusive 700!!  Rhonda, using her Mission X, Friday (3/9/12) during the Friday Mixed League at Four Seasons Sports bowled a 235, 225 and a 254 for a 714 series.  This is Rhonda's first sanctioned 700 series.  Rhonda has been a member of the DeKalb Area Association for years in which she has  averaged in the upper 180's.  Congratulations Rhonda!

     
 

A shout out to David Burdick of the Miller Lite Phil Johnson Classic league!!  David bowled at King Pin Lanes in the Central IL tournament this past February and shot a 300 during the competition.  Burdick bowled a 203, 300 and a 237 for a 740 series!  He used his Storm XFactor as well as a Storm Tropical Heat to reach perfection. Congratulations David!! 

     
 

Congratulations to Bill Perkins of the Wednesday Night Business league at Four Seasons Sports!  Bill bowled his first career perfect game on February 22, 12 and combined it with games of a 216 and a 210 for a 726 series.  His perfect game was shot in his 3rd game of the night with a Columbia Scout.  Bill is averaging a 208 for the league this season.  Way to go Bill!

     
 

Congrats to John Hietikko!  John enjoyed perfection once again bowling one of his many career 300 games on March 5th, 2012 during the University Plaza league at Mardi Gras Lanes.  He combined the 300 game with a 203 and a 238 for a 741 series.  The perfect game was bowled with a DV8 Hell Raiser.  John is currently averaging a 202 average in the league.  John has been an active member of the assocation for years and bowls on multiple leagues including the DeKalb Elks league at Mardi Gras Lanes and the Sunday Night Mixed league at Four Seasons Sports.  Congrats!! 

     
 

The DeKalb association would like to extend an apology to Keith Underwood!   Our website is not updated during the summer and when we got going in the fall, we failed to recognize the achievement on this website.  Our Bad!!  Keith bowled his first career 300 game on 6/23/11 during the Four Seasons Summer Youth/Adult Scholarship league.  Keith bowled the game with a Hammer Black Widow and averaged a 219 during the league.  Keith is a longtime member of the association bowling in the Wednesday Business league and the Friday Night Mixed league at Four Seasons Sports.    Keith -- Please accept our congratulations on your achievement!!

     
 

Congratulations to Jim Cartee who shot a 300 game during his Wednesday Night Business league on 3/7/12 at Four Seasons Sports.  Jim shot the 300 in his third game of the night with a Storm Nano bowling with his team Ski's.  This is Jim's 3rd career 300 game.  Jim is currently averaging 189 in the league.  Jim can also be found bowling at Four Seasons Sports during the Friday Night Mixed league and the every other Sunday Mixed League. Congrats to Jim!

     
 

Al Cagle, from the Business & Professional league at Mardi Gras Lanes, on 1/10/12, bowled his first career 300 game.  He threw perfection with a Ebonite Mission 2.0 bowling ball.  Al has consistently averaged over 200 in the league for the past 10 years and is currently averaging a 207.  Congratulations, Al, on reaching perfection!

     
 

Congrats to Sean Wilson of the DeKalb Elks league at Mardi Gras Lanes.  On Wednesday, 10/5/11, Sean bowled a 275, 248, and a 277 with his Columbia Freeze for an 800 series.   Sean -- best of luck to you in 2012!!

If you live on Greenwood Acres Drive in DeKalb, a 300 game could be in your future.  Steve Maciejewski, during the Friday Night Mixed League at Four Seasons Sports bowled a 300 on 12/23/11.  Steve bowled perfection with his Ebonite Mission 2.0.  Steve is a bowler in the Friday night league at Four Seasons Sports where he is averaging a 219 so far this season.  He also bowls in the Bud Light Thursday night league at Mardi Gras Lanes.  This is Steve's 3rd career 300 game.  Steve also happens to be the 3rd person in the past 2 months that has bowled perfection who lives on Greenwood Acres Drive. Congrats to Steve!!

     
 

300 Alert -- 2012!!  Michael Porter, of the B&P league at Mardi Gras Lanes, shot a 300 on 1/3/12 for the associations first 300 in 2012.  Michael bowled perfection on lanes 21-22 with his RotoGrip Grand Illusion and shot a 714 Series for the night.  Michael is averaging a 199 for the season.  Congrats to Michael!!

Perfection is reached once again by Jerry Belluzzi!!  On 12/08/11, Jerry started his night off with a 300 game in the Bud Light Thursday night league at Mardi Gras Lanes.  Jerry threw his 18th career perfect game with a Ebonite Mission X.  Jerry bowls in multiple leagues in the association.  When he is not bowling, you can find Jerry working at his Pro Shop located at Mardi Gras Lanes.    Keep on Striking Jerry!!

800 ALERT!! On Friday, 11/11/11, Joe Barrile, of the Four Seasons Sports Friday Night Mixers league, bowled a 237, 275 and a 290 game for an 802 series. This was Joe’s first career 800 series which was shot with a Columbia Action bowling ball. Joe is a career 200 average bowler who bowls in multiple leagues this year.

     
   

DAUSBC would like to extend congratulations to Joshua Thompson of Mardi Gras Lanes DeKalb Elks league. Joshua bowled a 300 game on November 17th along with a 237 and a 247 for a 784 series. A Hammer Jigsaw Corner was used to bowl the perfect game. Josh is averaging a 214 in the league this season.

     
Peggy Belluzzi  

Congrats to Peggy Belluzzi!! On Sunday, 11/20/11, during the 2011 DAUSBC Mixed Doubles tournament held at Mardi Gras Lanes, Peggy reaches perfection. This was Peggy’s first career sanctioned 300 game which was bowled with a Brunswick C-System Ultimax. Peggy was using the ball which was drilled by her husband, Jerry Belluzzi, of Jerry Belluzzi’s Pro Shop, for only the second time. Peggy, bowling with her husband, teamed up in the tournament to score a 1439 to place 3rd in the doubles tournament. Peggy is an active bowler in Four Seasons Sports Friday Night Mixers league in which she currently holds a 187 average.

RICKER ROLLS HIS SECOND 300 OF SEASON!!

Congrats to Austin Ricker who shot his second 300 of the season Tuesday night, 10/18/11, during the Business and Professional league.  Keep them coming Austin!!

Jeremy Wilkerson has rolled perfection again.  On 10/17/11 during the Monday University Plaza league at Mardi Gras Lanes, Jeremy bowled a 266, 215 and a 300 for a 781 Series.  This is Jeremy's second 300 game in the past two months and third since February.   Keep on striking Jeremy!!

Wilkerson is on Fire!

Jeremy Wilkerson, who bowled his first career, sanctioned 300 game this past February, started the 2011-2012 season on fire. On 9/12/11, during Jeremy’s evening in the University Plaza league at Mardi Gras Lanes, he bowled a 255, 300, and a 245 for an 800 series.   This was Jeremy’s first sanctioned 800 series which was shot with a RotoGrip Nomad. Jeremy bowls regular in the University Plaza league, the DeKalb Elks league, and the Saturday Night Live league at Mardi Gras Lanes. Jeremy also subs in the Friday Night Mixed league at Four Seasons Sports.

Ricker is Rolling!!

Austin Ricker, a Sycamore High School Boy’s Bowling team alum and a recent Sycamore graduate, has become a member of the DAUSBC Association for the 2011-2012 season. He started his DAUSBC career and the 2011-12 season in bowling form, bowling a 300 and a 750 series on 9/15/11 during the Thursday Bud Light league at Mardi Gras Lanes. Austin threw a Roto Grip Cell bowling ball during his game of perfection. Austin is a member of four leagues which includes the Business and Professional League and the Bud Light League at Mardi Gras Lanes along with the Wednesday Night Business league and Friday Night Mixers at Four Seasons Sports.   Austin averaged a 218 last season at Four Seasons Sports in the Champs in the Midst Youth League. The association would like to congratulate Austin on his recent success and wish him the best during his DAUSBC career!

     
 

Bagby reaches perfection!

Gordon Bagby, bowling in the Monday Miller Lite Trio at Mardi Gras Lanes on 8/8/11, bowled perfection. He combined the game with a 224 and 191 for a 715 series. The 300 game was thrown with a Motiv Cruel. For the 2011 – 2012 season, Gordon is a member of the University Plaza league, the Miller Lite Phil Johnson Classic league, and the Friday Night Mixed league. Gordon also subs in the Business & Professional league.    Good Luck this season Gordon!!

Zevnik is on a Roll!

Larry Zevnik, on 8/8/11, during the Monday Miller Lite Trio league, bowled a 300 game and a 737 series.   Larry was not finished yet….On the first night of the 2011-2012 season (9/6/11), during the Business & Professional League at Mardi Gras Lanes, Larry bowled an impressive 300, 239, and a 279 for an 818 series. This was the first 800 series thrown in the DeKalb Area USBC Association for the 2011-2012 season. Larry obtained these sizzling scores with a Brunswick Fury ball.   DAUSBC would like to congratulate Larry and wish Larry continued success during this bowling season.
